Agriculture confirms: the total area cultivated of the wheat crop at the level of the Republic is 3 million and 659 thousand feddans.
The Audio and Visual Information Center at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation has published a new issue of its fourth edition, “Agriculture X Figures”, during which it reviewed the most important numbers related to the wheat crop.
The issue indicated that the total cultivated area of the wheat crop at the level of the Republic amounted to about 3 million and 659 thousand feddans. It is expected that the total productivity of the crop this season will reach about 10 million tons. The level of the Republic, in the cultivation of the crop, came as follows: Sharkia Governorate with a total area of about 423 thousand acres, followed by the Buhaira Governorate with a total area of about 386 thousand acres, then the New Valley Governorate with a total area of about 342 thousand acres, and Dakahlia Governorate with a total area of about 262 thousand feddans, and Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, with a total area of about 254 thousand feddans.
