The head of the Suez Canal Authority appreciates the ministry’s efforts to improve the health sector.


Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, met Lieutenant-General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, to discuss ways of joint cooperation between the hospitals of Ismailia Governorate, including those included in the comprehensive health insurance system, and the hospitals and health centers affiliated with the Suez Canal Authority, at the headquarters of the Al-Irshad building in the governorate of Issa. Maailiya, today, Saturday, as part of the minister’s visit to the governorate to follow up on the implementation of the new comprehensive health insurance project.
During the meeting, the Minister directed the allocation of a registration point and medical teams to vaccinate the workers of the Suez Canal Authority with booster doses of vaccines Anti-Coronavirus, according to the health conditions of the beneficiaries, in addition to two points located in the blood bank at Namera 6 Hospital of the General Authority of the Suez Canal

The Minister discussed the system and developments of work in the hospitals and health centers affiliated with the Suez Canal Authority in the cities of the Canal after its adoption within the comprehensive health insurance system, stressing the continuation of providing all means of continuous support to the hospitals and centers of the Suez Canal Authority.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the hospitals of the Suez Canal Authority with a group of senior consultants in various medical specialties, in a way that contributes to upgrading and raising the level of The medical service provided to patients.

On his part, Lieutenant-General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, face The Ministry of Health and Population wishes to support the health sector and upgrade the health system, pointing out that all hospitals and medical centers affiliated with the authority in the Ismailia and Port Said governorates have been registered within the comprehensive health insurance system after fulfilling all the observations and adopting the necessary quality standards.
At the end of the meeting, Lieutenant-General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, presented the Authority’s shield to Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research And the Acting Minister of Health and Population, in appreciation of his efforts to improve the health system.
