Health: A protocol of cooperation with the private sector to bring in foreign experts to work in the Ministry's hospitals for free

The protocol was signed by Dr. Hisham Zaki, Head of the Central Administration for Non-Governmental Institutions and Licensing, on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Population, and on behalf of the Saudi German Hospital – Egypt, Dr. Mohamed Hublas, Executive Director of the Group. And on behalf of Alameda Healthcare, Dr. Fahd Khater, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, and on behalf of the Alpha Cure Center for Oncology, Dr. Hisham Al-Ghazali, the founder of the center, and on behalf of Cleopatra Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Ezzeddine, CEO and Managing Director of the Group, In the presence of a number of leaders and heads of bodies and sectors in the ministry.

In his speech, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, stressed the importance of participation community and development between the public and private sectors, in supporting the health system, pointing out that the Egyptian state puts the file of developing and improving the quality of health services provided to citizens, at the top of its priorities, so the Ministry has been adopting a strategy aimed at sharing and exchanging visions and experiences with the concerned parties from the private sector, To work together to develop a future vision aimed at raising the efficiency and development of medical services, in line with international standards, which is reflected in achieving the best health coverage for the citizen, stressing that this cooperation is an essential step towards achieving the goals of sustainable development.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that, according to the protocol, cooperation is taking place to bring in a number of foreign experts in various medical specialties, which represent an urgent priority in The health file, in order to work in various hospitals of the Ministry of Health and Population, in all governorates of the Republic, and to provide free service N, for a period of one to two days, to perform delicate and critical surgeries, exchange scientific discussions and analogue sessions to diagnose patients, in addition to holding and organizing training courses for scientific and practical benefit, as well as exchanging experiences between Egyptian doctors and international experts.

He explained that the protocol contributes to reducing government expenditures for treatment abroad at the expense of the state, easing the burden on patients who receive treatment abroad at their own expense, and attracting them to receive Medical service in accordance with the latest protocols and scientific methods, within Egyptian hospitals, pointing out that the minister has expressed his keenness to continue looking forward to providing the best international competencies in the hospitals of the Ministry of Health and Population, and to share towards every Egyptian patient obtaining the best medical service.

“Abdul Ghaffar” indicated that this cooperation will work to attract medical tourism to Egypt, in line with the vision of the political leadership in the medical tourism file, noting the importance of Opening horizons for partnership and cooperation with companies and entities entrusted with health investment in Egypt, developing health care services and raising The efficiency of the medical teams, in addition to the development of the medical facility, which works to ensure the success of the medical tourism file project, and to achieve comprehensive health coverage for hospital visitors.

For his part, Dr. Hisham Zaki, Head of the Central Administration for Non-Governmental Organizations and Licensing, said that within the framework of this cooperation, several visits were organized for foreign experts in 5 hospitals affiliated with the Ministry, including (Dar Al-Shifa, 6th of October Health Insurance, Al-Jalaa Al-Talami, Ahmed Maher Al-Talami, Al-Jumhuriya Al-Talami), and performing a number of delicate surgical operations, which included (removal of malignant and lymphatic tumors from the uterus, laparoscopic excision of the ovarian cyst, expansion of the femoral artery and the anterior leg artery by means of balloons using peripheral catheters, resection of kidney and rectal tumors). , stressing that integrated health care is a right of the Egyptian patient, noting that the Ministry is working hard to increase citizens’ satisfaction with health services.
