The government sectors, led by the Tax Authority, which is considered one of the most important financial tributaries of the public treasury of the state, as the development and mechanization of it took place during the past few years, and it is also still on its way to completing the target of modernization, which is a quantum leap felt by everyone who deals with the interest through the completion of All tax procedures electronically, starting with the tax returns system, passing through the electronic receipt system, and the electronic invoice system, which has become one of the national projects undertaken by the Tax Authority recently to convert all invoices resulting from the transactions of the parties to the tax community from paper to electronic, unified data and form, as well as in terms of rules Verifying its authenticity in order to govern the buying and selling process.

And the keenness of Eng. “Fathallah Fawzy” said, “In this meeting, we emphasize the distinguished relationship between us as a business community and in the Egyptian Lebanese Association Businessmen in particular, and coordination and integration between us, and between the Ministry of Finance and the Egyptian Tax Authority, which has been close cooperation over many years, expressing his thanks to the Authority’s leaders for accepting the invitation and attending the meeting.

He added, “Ragab Mahrous, Advisor to the Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, “The electronic invoice is a standard document with components, form, unified design, and content regulated by laws and regulations related to the work of the electronic invoice. It also requires a valid and effective electronic signature for the issuer of the invoice, and the system provides complete security for the invoice data exchanged between companies.

“Mohamed Kishk, Assistant Head of the Egyptian Tax Authority,” dealt with the solutions to the problems presented by the representatives of the companies related to the electronic bill system, as well as addressing in the answer to several other tax issues, stressing that once the application of the electronic bill system is completed on all Companies will greatly contribute to speeding up the electronic tax examination process, because all company data and sales invoices are available electronically and instantly with the Egyptian Tax Authority, and it will also contribute to facilitating the preparation of the tax return.And in the long term, it will contribute to the elimination of fake companies.

For her part, Salwa Samir, Director of the General Administration for Operation and Support of Service Providers, confirmed that one of the most important components of the electronic bill system is the coding system, which allows companies to use the global code system. (GS1), and in the event that the company uses an internal coding system that is linked to the Commodity Group (GPC) system, pointing out that the system works to prove the legal validity of electronic invoices, explaining that the system allows sending instant notifications to both the seller and the buyer registered with it.

“Fouad Hadraj, Vice President of the Association,” stressed the need to expand the tax base to achieve justice and transparency and increase competitiveness among financiers, pointing to the association’s continued support for all stages of developing and modernizing the Tax Authority, in order to achieve digital transformation and automation of procedures.

The participants in the meeting were Rajab Mahrous, advisor to the head of the tax authority, Muhammad Kishk, assistant to the head of the authority, Maha Ali, head of the information unit in the office of the head of the authority and general manager of the website, and Salwa Samir, director of the General Administration for Operation and Support of Service Providers.
