Formula E announces a change in leadership

Formula E today announced that Jimmy Riggle will be stepping down as The CEO, having spent the past four years running Formula E in partnership with founder and chairman, Alejandro Agag, will now move into an advisory role for the rest of the season to ensure a smooth transition to leadership.
Riegel was hired in 620, when he managed the AP World Championship BB Formula E during the pandemic, built a multidisciplinary executive team, and introduced a range of initiatives that support Formula E’s strategic position and maintain its continuous development.

During his tenure, Riegel oversaw the introduction of a highly successful new sporting format that was met with global enthusiasm from fans, teams and partners, with the launch of the GEN3 car and the implementation of technical, commercial and financial regulations that enhanced the business model for the teams and Formula E Manufacturers

Dodds has a proven track record in creating dynamic workplaces, having previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Virgin Media O2 for the past two years, and prior to that held leadership roles at Virgin Media In the positions of Operations Manager, General Manager, and Marketing Manager. He also spent two years living and working in the Netherlands as CEO of telecommunications company Tele2.
