During the activities of the committee, the protocol of the fifth session of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani joint committee was signed, which includes a number of fields, most notably: investment, trade and industry, health, and other industries. Pharmaceuticals, electricity and renewable energy, petroleum and mineral resources, higher education and scientific research, culture, youth and sports, tourism and archeology, communications and information technology, agriculture, transportation, as well as cooperation between the free economic zones in both countries. A memorandum of understanding for cooperation was signed between the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Agency for the Development of Medium and Small Enterprises of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the aim of enhancing cooperation and technical and technical exchange in the field of small, medium and micro enterprises through the exchange of technical and technological expertise of both countries in this field.
In addition to a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Business Council between the Ministry of Trade and Industry in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Export and Investment Promotion Corporation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which aims to support the commercial partnership between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Azerbaijan and to enhance the participation of the private sector in projects established in both countries.
And a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the port of Alexandria in the Arab Republic and the port of Baku in the Republic of Azerbaijan: This memorandum aims to achieve mutual benefit, enhance relations, achieve sustainable development between the two ports and enhance trade relations, as well as a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Egyptian Businessmen Association in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Export and Investment Promotion Corporation in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Minister of International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, stressed the importance of the results of the discussions during the activities of the fifth session of the Joint Committee and the protocols that were signed in various fields, noting the importance of moving forward to implement the protocols. He stressed that the Azeri side will enhance communication in the coming period with the Egyptian government to facilitate cooperation frameworks, open work fields for companies from the private sector and exchange information on available cooperation and investment opportunities. In the same context, the Minister stressed the Egyptian government’s keenness to attract private sector investments, especially in major national projects and new cities.
The agenda of the fifth session of the Egyptian-Azeri Joint Committee included a discussion of economic, scientific and technical cooperation between The Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of Azerbaijan, with a focus on specific areas, and the needs and priorities of the Egyptian side in order to ensure the maximum benefit for both parties, such as: investment, trade and industry, health, pharmaceutical industries, electricity, renewable energy, petroleum, mineral wealth, higher education, scientific research, culture, youth, sports, tourism, antiquities, communications, information technology and agriculture And transportation, as well as cooperation between the free economic zones in both countries. For the following ministries and entities: Ministries of International Cooperation, Health, Population, Trade, Industry, Culture, Agriculture, Land Reclamation, Electricity, Renewable Energy, Tourism, Antiquities, Higher Education, and Research It is scheduled to take place within the activities of the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Joint Committee, holding the Egyptian-Azerbaijani Business Forum in the presence of about
