In order to ensure the continuation of the Foundation’s efforts to provide the highest level of health care to the beneficiaries of its services, changes to the Board of Directors of the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Cardiac Diseases and Research included, Appointment of Dr. Magdy Ishaq as Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, and the members represent a strong addition to the Foundation’s management Due to their extensive experience in establishing and managing major economic entities and working with the largest healthcare providers in the world. The general policy of the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Cardiac Diseases and Research, and the development of a new framework in line with the current changes. The changes included the inclusion of 5 new members of the Board of Trustees: businessman Samih Sawiris, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orascom Development Egypt, businessman Mohamed Zaki Al-Suwaidi, head of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, Engineer Yahya Zaki, President of the General Authority for the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, Engineer Hani Azer, Advisor to the President of the Republic and Honorary President of the Egypt Can Foundation, and artist Esaad Younes, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Company for Artistic Production.
The new changes contribute to adding a mixture of scientific and practical experiences to the board of directors and trustees of the Magdi Yacoub Foundation for Cardiac Diseases and Research, thus becoming the new structure; Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub, Founder and Honorary President of the Magdi Yacoub Foundation, Dr. Magdi Ishaq, Founder and Chairman of the Board, Dr. Ahmed Shawky, Founder and Secretary General, Eng. Mohamed Al-Hamamsi, Founder and Treasurer, Ambassador Jihad Madi, and businessman Tawfiq Diab are members of the Board of Directors, and the Board of Directors includes The trustees are Hani Azer, Samih Sawiris, Esaad Younes, Yehia Zaki, Muhammad Al-Suwaidi, while Zina Tawakil continues to retain the position of CEO.
